An EasemyGST survey reveals that 68% of businesses, particularly SMEs, are unprepared for the upcoming GST implementation due to resource constraints.
Survey Reveals Most Businesses Unprepared for GST Implementation
A recent study conducted by EasemyGST, a platform operated by ERP provider Ginesys, indicates that a significant 68% of businesses possess either minimal or no preparedness for the Goods and Services Tax (GST). Furthermore, the survey highlighted that 18% of businesses only had a fundamental grasp of the new tax system, while merely 14% were actively progressing towards GST integration.
Key Findings from the EasemyGST Survey
These findings are concerning, especially given the approaching implementation deadline for GST. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are particularly affected, often lacking both sufficient comprehension and the necessary resources to adopt GST compliance tools efficiently.
