Step-by-step Guide for DSC Registration on the GST Portal

Accessing the GST Portal

Begin by visiting the official GST portal.

Logging into the Member Account

On the GST portal’s homepage, locate and click the ‘Login’ button. Input your login credentials and proceed by clicking ‘Login’ again. After successfully logging in, you will be directed to your dashboard; select the ‘Continue’ option.

Selecting Your Profile

From the top right corner of the dashboard, use the dropdown menu next to your profile name to select ‘My Profile’. This action will take you to your personal profile page.

Initiating DSC Registration/Update

Within the ‘Quick Links’ section, find and select the ‘Register/Update DSC’ option. Click this to initiate the DSC registration process, then connect your DSC USB Token to your computer.

Choosing the Authorized Signatory

After selecting ‘Register/Update DSC’, the ‘Register Digital Signature Certificate’ page will appear. From the ‘PAN of Authorized Signatory’ dropdown menu, choose the specific Authorized Signatory for whom you intend to register the DSC. Conclude this step by clicking ‘Proceed’.

Certificate Selection and Signing

You must then ‘Select Certificate’ by clicking the appropriate option, followed by clicking ‘Sign’. Upon successful completion of this action, your Digital Signature will be registered.

Confirming DSC Registration

A confirmation message, ‘Your DSC has been successfully registered,’ will then appear, verifying that your Digital Signature Certificate is now active on the GST portal. By following these outlined steps, users can effectively register their Digital Signature Certificate on the GST portal.
